A Cylindrical LED Display is a curved LED system built around a round supporting structure or an existing architectural column. Flexible LED modules wrap around the frame to create a continuous display surface that can be viewed from multiple directions — up to a full 360°.
Unlike Sphere, Vase or other compound-curved Creative LED products, a simple cylinder normally uses standard flexible LED modules + a project-specific cylindrical frame. This makes it one of the most practical and cost-efficient ways to turn architectural columns into digital media.
For a normal constant-radius cylinder, DisplayMan first selects a flexible LED module whose safe bending radius matches the required diameter, then engineers the supporting frame, module layout, control system and installation. A completely new custom LED PCB or module mold is usually unnecessary.
Cylinder projects should be selected from the real installation geometry first: diameter, height, full or partial wrap, viewing distance and indoor/outdoor environment.

The practical minimum cylinder diameter is determined by the safe bending radius of the selected flexible LED module. A smaller pixel pitch does not automatically mean the module can bend to a smaller radius.
This distinction is important because the engineering cost, minimum size and development cycle are very different.
A Cylinder is one of the best examples of what standard Flexible LED can do without turning the project into a high-cost fully custom Creative LED development.
For a cylinder, the structural frame defines the display shape. The flexible LED module follows that frame. This is the opposite of a Sphere LED project, where several special module geometries may define the final surface.

The cylinder should be designed from the module bending capability + supporting frame together. A perfectly round frame cannot compensate for a module bent beyond its safe radius, and a flexible module cannot hide a poorly aligned structural surface.
A finished Cylinder LED should be planned as a complete curved display system rather than only as a quantity of flexible LED modules.

Cylindrical LED content is different from a standard 16:9 video wall. The pixel canvas follows the full circumference of the display, so logos, text, movement and the vertical closure seam should be planned together.

Existing columns often provide little or no rear maintenance space. When a compatible magnetic/front-service flexible module system is selected, defective modules can be removed from the display side without dismantling the entire cylindrical structure.

If the project needs a constant-radius 360° surface, Cylindrical LED is normally the more efficient engineering direction. Choose Can-Shaped LED when the display must replicate a branded package, and Sphere LED when true compound spherical curvature is essential.
