DisplayMan provides Custom OLED Display support for OEM products that require practical OLED module customization and integration based on existing AMOLED, PMOLED or Flexible OLED display modules.
In most projects, customers do not need a completely new OLED panel from zero. The real requirement is usually to make an existing OLED module fit the product’s electronics, front-panel design and mechanical structure.
DisplayMan can review OLED module selection, FPC direction, connector matching, pin definition, interface, touch panel, cover glass, lens structure, optical bonding and mechanical integration according to your project requirement.
Full custom OLED panel development is technically possible in the OLED industry, but it is rarely the practical direction for normal OEM projects because it requires very high tooling cost, high MOQ, long development time and deep panel-level engineering support.
Custom OLED Displays can include AMOLED, PMOLED or Flexible OLED modules, depending on the product requirement.
The first step is not to develop a new OLED panel. The first step is to review whether an existing OLED module can be adapted to the customer’s product.
| Custom OLED Direction | Best For | Selection Logic |
|---|---|---|
| Custom AMOLED Displays | Full-color smart devices, handheld terminals, medical electronics and compact products | Selected when the product needs full-color OLED image quality and active-matrix display performance |
| Custom PMOLED Displays | Instruments, meters, controllers and simple status displays | Selected when the product needs a small monochrome or simple graphic OLED display |
| Custom Flexible OLED Displays | Wearables, curved devices, special product ID and bendable structures | Selected when the product needs a thin, curved or flexible OLED module |
| OLED with Custom FPC / Connector | OEM products with fixed PCB or enclosure structure | Selected when the standard OLED module is close, but the FPC direction or connector does not fit |
| OLED with Touch and Cover Glass | Smart devices, medical electronics, commercial terminals and control panels | Selected when display, touch input and front cover structure must be integrated together |
| OLED Replacement Review | Existing product maintenance, old OLED replacement and redesign projects | Selected when the customer needs to replace or update an existing OLED module |
Use an existing OLED module whenever possible. Review FPC, connector, touch panel, cover glass, bonding and mechanical integration when the standard OLED module is close but not ready to fit the product. Avoid full custom OLED panel development unless the project has very strong volume, budget, schedule and engineering support.
Custom OLED Displays on this page refer mainly to OLED module customization and integration based on existing OLED display modules.
This is different from freely developing a new OLED panel in any size or shape.
DisplayMan can help customers review practical OLED customization requirements and check whether an existing AMOLED, PMOLED or Flexible OLED module can be adapted to the final product.
Custom OLED Displays from DisplayMan means practical OLED module customization and integration support, not unlimited new OLED panel development from zero.

Custom OLED display selection should be based on real project feasibility. Not every OLED size, shape, interface, FPC or bending structure can be customized freely. Final feasibility depends on OLED type, available module source, driver IC, FPC design, connector structure, tooling cost, MOQ, project schedule and application environment.
Full-color AMOLED display module for smart devices, handheld equipment, medical electronics and compact OEM products.
Small PMOLED display module for instruments, meters, controllers, status indicators and embedded devices.
Flexible OLED display module for curved product structures, wearable devices and special mechanical designs.
OLED module with project-based FPC direction, connector position and pin definition review for OEM integration.
OLED display integrated with capacitive touch, custom cover glass, printed border and optional bonding structure.
OLED display review for existing product replacement, old model redesign and custom mechanical matching.
For most Custom OLED Display projects, DisplayMan recommends starting from an existing standard OLED module.
This is usually the most practical direction because it reduces development cost, lead time and technical risk.
A standard OLED module may already provide the required display size, resolution, OLED type and interface. If the basic module is suitable, the project can then be reviewed for practical customization.
Most custom OLED projects should begin with standard OLED module selection and then move to integration-level customization.
Developing a completely new OLED panel from zero is technically possible, but it is rarely the practical direction for most OEM projects.
For normal prototype, small-batch and medium-volume OEM projects, this direction is usually not realistic.
In most cases, the better direction is to start from an existing AMOLED, PMOLED or Flexible OLED module and then review whether FPC, connector, touch panel, cover glass, lens structure, bonding or mechanical integration can be adjusted.
DisplayMan does not position Custom OLED Displays as unlimited new OLED panel development. We focus on practical OLED module customization and integration support based on available OLED module platforms.
Custom AMOLED Displays are used when the product requires full-color OLED image quality, high contrast, compact module structure and active-matrix display performance.
Custom AMOLED is suitable when the project needs full-color OLED display performance and module-level adaptation to the customer’s product structure.
Custom PMOLED Displays are used when the product needs a small OLED module for text, icons, simple graphics or status information.
Custom PMOLED is suitable when the project needs a small, simple OLED display with specific electrical or mechanical matching requirements.
Custom Flexible OLED Displays are used when the product requires a curved, bendable, thin or lightweight display structure.
Custom Flexible OLED is suitable when the product needs OLED visual performance and a curved or bendable mechanical structure.
FPC direction and connector matching are common reasons customers request Custom OLED Display support.
In many projects, the OLED display size and resolution may be acceptable, but the standard FPC exit direction, connector position or pin definition does not match the customer’s PCB or enclosure.
FPC or connector modification is not always possible for every OLED module. It depends on the module structure, supplier capability, quantity and engineering feasibility.
OLED touch integration can be reviewed for selected AMOLED and Flexible OLED modules.
For small PMOLED modules, touch is usually less common. If the product requires a larger touch interface, AMOLED or TFT LCD touch screen may be more practical depending on size, cost and application.
Many Custom OLED Display projects require a front cover lens rather than a new OLED panel.
This is common for smart devices, medical equipment, handheld terminals, commercial electronics and wearable products.
DisplayMan can review OLED replacement requirements when the original OLED module is discontinued, unavailable or difficult to purchase.
OLED replacement is not only finding the same size. Electrical interface, driver IC, FPC, connector and mechanical structure must all be checked.

DisplayMan focuses on module-level Custom OLED Display support. Fully custom OLED panel development is technically possible, but usually not practical for normal OEM projects.
OLED and LCD customization follow different engineering logic.
| Requirement | Custom OLED Displays | Custom LCD Displays |
|---|---|---|
| Display Effect | Self-emissive OLED, high contrast | LCD with backlight or reflective structure |
| Small Simple Display | PMOLED possible | Segment LCD or monochrome LCD often practical |
| Full-color UI | AMOLED possible | TFT LCD often more cost-effective |
| Flexible Structure | Flexible OLED available | Flexible LCD is limited and different |
| Static Content | Burn-in risk must be reviewed | LCD is usually better for long static UI |
| Cost Direction | Often higher | Often more flexible for cost-sensitive projects |
| Sunlight Readability | Needs review | Reflective or high-brightness LCD may be better |
| Best For | Premium compact products, wearables, curved displays | Industrial HMI, segment displays, cost-sensitive devices |
| Selection Logic | Choose when OLED visual or flexible structure is required | Choose when cost, static UI, sunlight readability or long lifecycle is more important |
Custom OLED is not always better than custom LCD. The right display technology depends on content, environment, lifecycle, cost and mechanical structure.
The first step is to decide whether the project should use AMOLED, PMOLED or Flexible OLED. This depends on size, color requirement, UI complexity, flexibility, interface and cost target.
Existing OLED modules should be checked first. Special sizes may require deeper review, higher MOQ and tooling cost.
OLED interface and driver IC are critical for system compatibility. MIPI, SPI, I2C, eDP, pin definition and controller board feasibility should be reviewed before sample preparation.
FPC direction, length, bending clearance, connector type and pin definition must match the customer’s PCB and enclosure. This is one of the most common reasons customers need custom OLED support.
Touch panel, cover glass and bonding affect optical performance, thickness, mechanical strength and final assembly. These should be designed together, not separately.
The OLED module must match the product housing, mounting method, PCB space and assembly process. Mechanical drawings are important for custom OLED review.
OLED displays may have image retention or burn-in risk when static content remains on screen for long periods. UI content, brightness, operating hours and working temperature should be reviewed before choosing OLED for long-term products.
OLED module availability can change over time. For OEM production, long-term supply, alternative models and replacement strategy should be considered early.
| Project Requirement | Recommended Direction |
