FAQ
What is a Transparent LCD Video Wall?
A Transparent LCD Video Wall is a large see-through display system made by combining multiple transparent LCD panels into one larger transparent display wall.
What panel size is most commonly used?
55" is usually the most practical and commonly selected panel size for Transparent LCD Video Wall projects. It offers a good balance between display area, cost, availability, structure and installation.
Can 43" or 65" panels be used?
Yes. 43" and 65" panels can be reviewed depending on wall size, layout, viewing distance and budget.
What layouts are available?
Recommended layouts include 1×2, 2×2, 2×3, 2×4, 2×5, 2×6, 2×10, 5×2, 10×2 and project-based custom layouts. Similar to transparent OLED video wall layouts, one side should normally stay within 1 or 2 panels.
Can the video wall show one large image?
Yes. With the proper controller and content setup, multiple transparent LCD panels can display one large image or video across the full wall.
Can each screen show different content?
Yes. Split-screen or panel-by-panel content can be reviewed depending on the controller, media player and content system.
Does Transparent LCD Video Wall need lighting?
Yes. Transparent LCD requires external LED lighting, rear lightbox or product display lighting. Lighting is critical for both the screen image and the visibility of objects behind the display.
Is the video wall seamless?
No. Transparent LCD Video Walls can look almost seamless when designed well, but they are not completely gapless. Fine panel joints may still be visible at close distance.
What should I choose if I need a seamless transparent display wall?
If the project needs a very large, ultra-bright transparent display wall with stronger long-distance visual impact, Transparent LED is usually more suitable.
How is Transparent LCD Video Wall different from normal LCD video wall?
A normal LCD video wall blocks the background and only shows digital content. A Transparent LCD Video Wall allows real products, exhibits or background objects behind the screen to remain visible.
How is it different from Transparent LED?
Transparent LCD provides finer close-viewing LCD image detail and is suitable for product display walls, museums and showrooms. Transparent LED is better for large, bright and high-impact commercial installations.
Can it support touch?
Yes. Touch can be reviewed depending on layout and size. For large transparent video walls, infrared touch overlay is usually more practical than panel-by-panel touch.
Can it be used for museums?
Yes. Museums are one of the suitable applications, especially when digital explanation needs to appear while artifacts or physical exhibits remain visible.
Can it be used for retail showrooms?
Yes. It can be used for product storytelling walls, luxury retail displays, electronics displays, cosmetics displays, jewelry displays and brand experience areas.
Can it be used outdoors?
Standard Transparent LCD Video Walls are mainly designed for indoor or controlled environments. Outdoor or direct sunlight applications require separate review of brightness, heat, protection and visibility.
Can you provide only the transparent LCD panels?
Yes. DisplayMan can supply transparent LCD panels, but many video wall projects also require driver boards, controller, lighting, frame and installation support.
Can you provide a complete video wall solution?
Yes. DisplayMan can review transparent LCD panels, driver boards, lighting, controller, frame structure, touch option, control system and installation support depending on project requirements.
What is the most important factor for the final effect?
Lighting design and background planning are very important. The final effect depends on transparent LCD quality, LED lighting, object placement, content contrast, panel alignment and installation structure.
What information do you need for a quotation?
Please provide wall size, preferred layout, panel size, lighting requirement, background object information, content system, touch requirement, installation method, quantity and project drawings if available.
